How to Help
If
you support our ideals, please help support us in one or more of
the following ways:
Shop
with us!
'Be the change you want to see in the world'. If you care
about the environment, community and your health, buying your food
at the co-op is the most ethical way to shop (except maybe dumpster
diving!).
Communicate
Got a great idea? Please share it with us! If we don't know about
it, we can't do it, so please communicate with us to share your
ideas or comments (good or bad).
Contact
the store on: (02) 9563 6059
or email: fuji@coop.org.au.
Volunteer
Volunteer in the shop, or help sort the veg boxes, for just one
hour a week to receive the volunteers' discount in the shop. We
also need volunteers in all areas of management, including finances,
computer help, cleaning, ordering, labelling, product research,
design, promotion, finding and applying for grants, running stalls
and lots more! There is always something you can do.
Spread
the Word
Tell your friends about us! Also feel free to take some of our flyers
to distribute or add our link to your website if you have one.
Make
food
Love cooking? We would love you to make something to sell in the
co-op. Cakes and sweets always go down well, but savoury things
are also very successful. It is a great way to help the co-op if
you don't have the time to volunteer. You can take the ingredients
from the co-op (remember to keep note of the cost), and just let
us know the total cost and ingredients of the cake (or whatever)
when you bring it in. No pre-warning is required, as long as you
make sure the volunteer in the shop knows about it!
Donate
Money of course is always welcome, but also consider donating unwanted
items you may have at home. We really need long-handled scoops (ladles?)
for customers to use, stationery supplies, computer stuff, software,
a laminator, a peanut-butter machine (hey, someone has
to have one laying around at home!), and a fridge (plus lots of
other stuff).
Incidentally we also have a small 'free box' in the shop, which
is useful for passing on unwanted stuff, and handy for picking up
a free bargain!
